Remembering Martin Luther King Jr.

Categories: Events

We’ve all heard of Martin Luther King, Jr. and the advances he helped our country make during a different time in our history. What many of us probably don’t know is that we didn’t start observing this as a holiday until 1986 which was 18 years after he was assassinated. We celebrate Martin Luther King Day in January because his birthday was January 15th. If you are working or are off because of the holiday, take a moment and look back at our history and how far we have come.
